Let it Ride Poker – single player

Rule Authority:

CasinoJoy Let It Ride Poker is played and programmed according to Atlantic City Poker rules.
Authority: New Jersey Casino Control Commission.
Rule Exceptions: Payoffs of “Bonus” bets noted in the Payoffs section below.

Premise:

Each player of CasinoJoy Let It Ride Poker plays only with the dealer and not against other players. The objective is to obtain the highest poker hand (containing at least a pair of tens) while keeping the maximum bet on the table.

Betting: Your chips are stacked by denomination (€1, <€5, €25, €100, €500) at the bottom of the screen beside the User Information box. Select the amount you would like to wager on a given hand by clicking the left mouse button on the chip of that denomination. The amount wagered per hand may be increased or decreased by placing the mouse on the stack that you wish to add or subtract to your bet. Each time you click the left mouse button you will add a chip from that pile to your planned wager amount. Likewise by clicking on the right mouse button you can decrease your planned wager amount. You may repeat your last bet by simply hitting the “0″ button of your numeric keyboard. Other keyboard shortcuts are summarized below.

Rules of play: A player begins each hand by placing an ante on the table which consists of three identical bets. At this stage, they have the option of making an additional €1 bet in order to qualify for a bonus. To make this bonus bet, click on the BONUS PAYOUT red circle and then DEAL.

Six cards are dealt in total. The first three cards are dealt to the player (face up) and the next three cards are placed in front of the dealer (face down). At this time, the player may choose to withdraw the first bet (Pull Bet) or keep it on the table (Let It Ride). The dealer then discards the fourth card and turns over the fifth card and the player must decide whether to Let It Ride or to Pull the second bet after which the dealer finally turns over the sixth card and the hand is scored.

The player wins if the player’s hand qualifies with at least a pair of tens, and the payoff is determined by the quality of the hand. Players can win a bonus on top of their payouts if they place the additional €1 bet by drawing one of the following hands:

Authority: New Jersey Casino Control Commission.
Rule Exceptions: Payoffs of “Bonus” bets noted in the Payoffs section below.

Each player of CasinoJoy Multi-Player Let It Ride Poker plays with the dealer and other players.

The objective is to obtain the highest poker hand (containing at least a pair of tens) while keeping the maximum bet on the table.

The skill of the player is required to find the appropriate strategy for the 51,979,200 possible variations of this game.

How to Play:

Betting: Your chips are stacked by denomination (€1, €5, €25, €100, €500) at the bottom of the screen beside the User Information box.

Your wager is divided into three equal piles and placed on the Multi-Player Let It Ride table. You may also choose to place a €1 bet by clicking on the BONUS PAYOUT red circle to qualify for a bonus and then clicking on the “DEAL” button. The dealer deals each player three cards face up and themselves three cards face down. One standard deck of 52 cards is used. If you place a wager that is lower than the minimum table bet limit, your bet amount will be automatically adjusted to the minimum bet amount. If you place a wager that is higher than the maximum table bet limit, your bet amount will automatically be adjusted to the maximum bet amount.

After you receive your 3 cards, you must decide whether to Let It Ride or Pull Bet. If you select the latter, one bet will be pulled from the table back to the your hand. The fourth card is then discarded and the fifth card revealed. You must again make a decision whether to Let It Ride or Pull Bet. Once one of these options has been selected, the dealer will reveal the sixth and final card.

In Multi-Player mode, you may select your next move while you are waiting for the other players to complete their play. A dialogue box will appear on the lower half of the screen. You will be invited to select your next move (Let It Ride or Withdraw). You may select your choice by clicking on the checkbox to the left of your choice. Alternatively, you may wait until the arrow points to your seat. Players win if they have a hand with at least a pair of tens. The payoffs for different hands are shown in the payoff section below. Each table can accommodate five players and the dealer. Your spot on the table will be noted by an arrow. You may change your position on the table by pointing at the desired spot and clicking on it once the “Click for Seat” message appears. You are only allowed to switch seats between hands. Each player begins a hand by placing a bet on the table as described above. Once you have placed a bet on the table, you may choose to skip the given deal (before your first card is dealt) by clicking on the “Pass” button or to proceed with the bet by pressing “Deal”. If you do not bet or pass within 15 seconds from the beginning of your turn, you will be automatically excluded from that particular hand. Note that if you join a table in the middle of a hand, you must wait until the round is over and after that you will be able to bet on the next hand.

Surrender the ante bet and fold, or continue by placing an additional wager. Two additional betting options are provided as five community cards are revealed to the players before the end of the game round. Players who do not fold will compare their best five-card combinations to the dealer’s cards at the end of the hand. Texas Hold’Em Bonus Poker features a side bet that pays up to 1000 times the bonus bet wager.

Rules Summary

  2. Bonus bet payouts are independent of the results of the ante and bet combinations
  3. Standard 5-card poker hand rankings are used
  4. Players have the option to place a bonus bet that pays up to 1000 times the wager
  5. The play bet always equals exactly twice the ante bet
  6. The turn and river bets always equal the ante bet
  7. Identical five card hands result in a push (tie)
  8. The ante bet is a push unless the player has a straight or higher

How to Play

Betting:

Chips are displayed by denomination (€1 €5 €25 €100, €500) at the bottom of the game window. Select the amount to wager by clicking the left mouse button on the desired chip denomination.
Place your ante bet by clicking on the ‘Ante’ field. To specify a bet that is not equal to an existing chip denomination, click on a different chip denomination after placing the previous chip on the table. Example: To bet €30, click on the €25 chip and place it on the table, then click on the €5 chip and place it on top of the €25 chip.

Clicking the right mouse button on the ‘Ante’ field withdraws the wager. The total bet will be displayed in the ‘Bet’ field just below your account ‘Balance’. If you place a wager that is lower than the table minimum, your bet will be automatically adjusted to the minimum.

To wager on the ‘Bonus Bet’, follow the same steps as placing an ‘Ante’ bet, clicking on the ‘Bonus Bet’ field instead of the ‘Ante’ field.

When satisfied with the bet amount(s), click on ‘Deal’ or use the appropriate shortcut.

On the 2nd and subsequent hands at a table, there is a convenient re-bet button (or shortcut) that will place the same bet as the previous hand.

Dealing

The Dealer delivers two cards, face down to each player and the dealer. After reviewing the cards, two options are available:
Select ‘Fold’

  • The dealer collects the ‘Ante’ bet.
  • The two-card hand remains on the table if the Player has wagered on the bonus side bet.
  • The two-card hand is discarded if there was no ‘Bonus Bet’.

Select ‘Bet’

  • Twice the amount of the ‘Ante’ bet is placed on the ‘Flop’ wagering area and the hand continues the hand.

The Flop

The Dealer “burns” one card face down, then turns over three cards in the ?Flop? area. These are community cards used by all Players and the Dealer.

The Turn and The River

Before each of the 4th and 5th cards are revealed, there is an optional wager that the player can make.

Starting from the Dealer’s left, and continuing clockwise, each player again has two options:

‘Check’

  • Continue the hand without an additional wager

‘Bet’

  • Continue the hand with an additional bet equal to the ‘Ante’.

After each betting round, the Dealer “burns” one card face down, then turns over the next community card.

Settling the Hands: Pay and Take

The dealer reveals his two-card hand and compares his best five-card combination against each of the players? best hand combinations.

If the Player’s hand value and the Dealer’s hand are equal, the Dealer indicates a ‘Push’.

  • If the Player’s hand is lower than the Dealer’s hand, the Dealer takes the Player’s Ante
  • Flop
  • Turn and River bets.
  • If the Player’s hand is a greater value than the Dealer’s hand, the Dealer pays the Flop, Turn, and River bets even money (1 to 1).
  • If the Player beats the Dealer with a straight or higher, the Player is paid even money on the Ante, Flop, Turn, and River bets. If the Players hand beats the Dealer and is lower than a straight, the Player is paid even money on the Flop, Turn, and River bets while the Ante is a push.

Three Card Poker

Premise:

3 Card Poker is a fast and fun poker-style game that requires little strategy for a player to be successful. The low house edge of approximately 2.5% makes it an enticing addition to the casino. Beat the dealer by making the best poker hand possible with one draw of three cards.

Basic 3 Card Poker strategy:

Q-6-4 or Higher – Play Anything Lower – Don’t Play

How to Play:

3 Card Poker games are played with a standard 52-card deck. The cards are distributed in hands of three, with cards shuffled after each hand. Straights have a higher ranking than a flush, as there are fewer ways to make a three-card straight. Aces can be either high or low. There are two bets a player can make that will influence the game payout: Ante and Pair Plus. The ante works as it does in conventional poker. This is the “cost” of playing the hand. The Pair Plus is a wager that the player will get at least a pair or higher. Payout levels are listed in the table below. It is not necessary to make both bets, but players must make at least one. The player antes by placing his/her bet in the “Ante” spot on the table within acceptable table limits. Both dealer and player are dealt three cards face down. The player will determine whether their cards are good enough to bet against the dealer or fold. If the player folds at this stage, he/she simply loses the ante. If the player decides to test his/her cards against the dealer, he/she must place a wager equal to the ante in the “Play” spot on the table and click the “Play” button. If the player wins the hand, the hand pays both the Ante and the Pair Plus wager (if applicable). Note: the dealer must have at least Queen High to qualify. Anything lower is an automatic win for the player providing the player has not folded.

Payoffs:

When calculating a win or loss, there are three things to consider: Pair Plus result, Ante result, and the Play result (did the dealer qualify).

Pair Plus Pay off
Pair 1 to 1
Flush 4 to 1
Straight 6 to 1
Three of a Kind 30 to 1
Straight Flush 40 to 1
Ante Bonus Pay off
Straight 1 to 1
Three of a Kind 4 to 1
Straight Flush 5 to 1
Play Result Pay off
Dealer does not qualify:
Ante wins, Play bet is returned
1 to 1
Dealer qualifies and player beats dealer:
Both Play and ante win 1 to 1
1 to 1

Betting Limits:

€5 minimum initial Ante and Pair Plus
€300 maximum bet.

You may also set your table bet limit below the maximum specified limit by selecting Bet Options from the Game Menu. The Modify Table Bet Limit window will appear on the screen. To reduce your maximum table bet limit type in the new limit in the appropriate box. Click on the OK button to complete the update. Please be aware that you can modify your table bet limit no more than once per week and that using the Modify Table Bet Limit function affects the bet limit for all games and not just the game that you are currently playing.
